The Cabane Brunet

Built in 1930, the lodge had been wiped away by an avalanche on 20 February 1937. It was then rebuilt on an altitude of 2103 m and inaugurated on 25 October 1942.

Then it has been named Cabane Marcel Brunet, in memory of the former president of the mountain club “Fédération Montagnarde Genevoise (FMG)”, who had died in an avalanche in February 1928.

The Cabane Brunet you see today was renovated in 2020 and can accommodate 45 people in a dormitory. It offers simple meals of good quality, which you can enjoy in a warm family atmosphere.
