21. MOLLENS - MONTAGNE DU SCEX

Mollens is the second-largest municipality in the district of Sierre. It is set in the heart of Pfyn-Finges Regional Nature Park which is the jewel in the region’s crown, rich in natural diversity and culture. The municipal area of Mollens extends over more than 3,200 hectares from the “Côteau de Conzor” at 915 m above sea level to the Schneehorn at 3,178 m above sea level. The municipality has a strong tourist focus, with the Aminona ski resort and its affiliation with Crans-Montana.

The village of Mollens itself has an inviting centre that has retained its indi- vidual character without the tourist trappings.

Mollens – surrounded by the localities of Randogne, Venthône, Miège, Sal- gesch and adjacent to Varen and even Leukerbad – is set in the heart of an idyllic landscape, with forests, meadows and cliffs. If you are daring enough to ascend to the high alpine valleys, you will be rewarded with fantastic pano- ramic views.
